You Stop This NOW!

Daily Prompt: Tell us about the time you threw down the gauntlet and drew the proverbial line in the sand by giving someone an ultimatum. If you’ve never handed out an ultimatum but secretly wanted to, describe the scene and what you would say to put an end (one way or another) to an untenable situation.

Now, I’ve had enough of your shenanigans!  So, stop telling me what to do.  I mean it.  Who do you think you are, bugging me everyday and giving me these orders to write about this and that?  What right do you have to dig into my private affairs?  Do you even know what “private” means?

I know I said I’d do my best to accommodate you, but you’ve simply gone too far.  There are things that should be left in the past.  Disclosing every little thing from days gone by is like dredging up past hurts and trauma.  Have you ever heard of the phrase, ‘let sleeping dogs lie’?

Have I ever told you to pick at old scabs?  Do I ask you what you see when you look in the mirror?  Or pry about your first crush?  Have I ever bugged you about your past and specifically order you to share your December 23rds?  I don’t think so!

I want you to stop!  Now!  Or else…!
