The arrival of Autumn reminds me to count my blessings. While the Fall season is the little sister to the hoopla and over-sensationalized New Year celebrations, it is a good time to stop and “smell the roses.”
After all, by this time in the calendar year, we’ve hopefully had some rest, relaxation and family time during the Summer. Valentine’s Day and Easter holidays are distant memories by now.
So, before Halloween gets us busy with candies, costumes, decorations and trick n’ treatin’, take a moment to take in the beautiful colours of Autumn. More importantly, think of those individuals who have been by your side thus far, or someone who may need a timely encouragement. Give them a phone call, send an email or send them a card. It may be just the thing they are looking for.
Do something nice and unexpected for someone. We can all do a little part to make this world a better place. Pay it Forward! You’ll be glad you did.
